About Lucy
Lucy is looking for her forever family and has a lot of love and energy to offer. At about a year and eight months old, she’s a blend of Cattle Dog and Yellow Labrador Retriever—though if you hear her “talk,” you’d swear she has some Husky in the mix. Luckily, Lucy doesn’t shed like a Husky, so you get the chatter without endless fur. After outside play, she takes time to settle down and enjoys cuddles once she’s relaxed. She’s happiest in a fenced yard, chasing balls and sticks (but she prefers not to give them up right away). When it comes to food, Lucy likes her space at first, though she’s learning to trust and will warm up the more you bond. Lucy’s still figuring out separation: she can get anxious and has shown her creative side with couch cushions if left alone. She does better when kept in the kitchen and is not a fan of crates yet. With other dogs, she’s social—especially with larger dogs who like to play—but she is gentle with small dogs even if her energy is sometimes a bit much for them. She’s recently met cats, finds them interesting, but is still getting used to their ways. Lucy gets along with children, though her initial excitement might be overwhelming until she settles in. She’s eager to learn, affectionate once she feels comfortable, and just needs some patience as she matures. Your new best friend could be waiting in Cloquet, MN. Start your journey together!
