About Cherry
Cherry is a five-year-old Chihuahua-Beagle mix with short, soft fawn and white fur. She weighs about 18 pounds and comes from a tough background, having started out in a hoarding situation. Cherry has a shy, fearful streak, especially around men, but once she trusts someone, she becomes deeply affectionate and loyal. She loves snuggling, pets, and spending quiet moments with her human—either curled beside you, on your lap, or tucked in at night. Cherry is completely house trained, non-destructive, and gets along well with both dogs and cats, especially companionable, low-key canines. She resists leash walks and crates, so a fenced yard is required for her to safely explore and relax. Cherry suits a peaceful, patient home where her adopter—strongly preferred to be female and home most of the day—can give her time to adjust and build trust. First-time, busy, or male adopters are not her match. Loud, active homes aren't either. Cherry will thrive with patience and steady routines. When she feels safe, she’s doting and protective and has a lot of love to offer the right person. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
