She loves her treats and enjoys being part of the action, often following her humans around to see what they are up to. True to her tortie nature, Cera is independent and curious. She enjoys gentle pets and attention, but snuggling is always on her own terms. She loves to play like any young cat, and once playtime is over, she’s happy to lounge on a window perch or curl up for a cozy nap. Cera gets along well with other friendly cats and cat-savvy dogs. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a cat with a confident, playful, and affectionate spirit—on her schedule, of course. Adoption fee: $230 + tax (no checks). An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months.
