About Big Ben
Big Ben is an impressive presence, packed with personality and energy. This large, 75-pound mixed-breed (Malinois, Great Dane, Lab, and Pit) stands out for the dark ridge along his back, giving him a look people remember. At just over 4 years old, he’s past the puppy stage but still full of spirit. He’s not cut out for sedentary life—he needs an active partner who actually wants a dog that’s up for new challenges. After a full day, though, Big Ben is happy to settle in and get his fill of couch cuddles. He’s had both professional obedience and scent work training, so he’s smart and eager to put his mind to work. Prior dog aggression problems have improved a lot with guidance, and he now lives with over five other dogs—he just needs structure from an owner who knows what they're doing. He gets along well with children, and his low-to-medium prey drive means cats are possible, especially with introductions. Big Ben thrives when given clear direction and thrives on activity—all he needs is an adopter ready to keep him going strong. Born March 1st, he’s a Pisces, known for loyalty—a great trait in a best friend. Start your journey together! Apply now.
