About Serenity

Serenity has gone far too long without a home—over four years and counting. After being left behind by another rescue, Serenity spent years bouncing between boarding, long stretches in kennels, and time spent waiting for the world to notice her. When she was first rescued, Serenity was overweight, heartworm positive, and in desperate need of structure. Now, she’s healthy, heartworm negative, and much more confident thanks to patience, training, and a steady routine. Serenity wrestles with separation anxiety, so she needs a home where people are present most of the time. She’s happiest as the only dog, though she can get along with laid-back canine companions. Serenity is not suitable for a home with cats or small animals. She needs someone who knows how to handle strong dogs and will continue with her training, especially while on walks. Car rides, naps, and kisses are a few of Serenity’s favorite things—she’s got a big, gentle personality and just enough quirks to make you smile (like sleeping with her tongue out or blocking your path on purpose).
