About Forest
Meet Forest! Forest My name is Forest! I am a 9 month old pit mix weighing a little over 30 pounds. I don’t think il get much bigger. I came from an accidental litter and was surrendered at 8 weeks to a shelter in Alabama. I’ve been in a foster home since July. I am sweet, cute, cuddly, a food lover, dog lover (slow intros though because I get scared) and absolutely love my foster mom. I sleep in my crate or with my foster mom. I came up to Wisconsin with my shelter friend Humphrey but we do not have to be adopted together. I also live with two other fosters- Roman and Lena. We are all under a year so we all will need training. I am vocal so no apartments or duplexes for me. I walk great on a leash when by myself or just Humphrey. I have lots to learn but am food motivated. I too am very athletic and smart. I can jump on kitchen counter and try to counter surf. I can do steps (Humphrey and Roman can’t yet). I know how to move the baby gates and would easily learn how to do a doggie door if you have one. I have been to three events and done very well. I haven’t been around cats and would do best in a home with kids 8 or older. I’ve only seen kids at the events I’ve been at. Forest is available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. He is neutered and is microchipped, dewormed and up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $450. To apply please visit mapawsmepetrescue. Interested in meeting Forest? All Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue dogs are in homes with foster families; we do not have a shelter where dogs are available for daily viewing. Our process is as follows: 1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/ 2. Submit an application for review and approval; 3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references; 4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s); 5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash). The adoption fee is listed here: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/ Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided: - Spay/Neuter surgery - Age appropriate vaccinations - Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive - Microchip - Deworming - Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative - Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian *Please note that the identified breed(s) are best guesses. We very rarely have information on our dogs' actual breeds since they often come to the shelters we work with as strays.*
