About Forest

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Forest is a charming 9-month-old pit mix with a sleek short coat in white, cream, and tan shades, weighing just over 30 pounds—so he will likely remain a manageable medium size. Forest was part of an accidental litter and surrendered as a puppy, but he has flourished in a loving foster home since the summer. He loves food, cuddles, and making canine friends (with slow introductions, since he can be a bit shy at first). Forest is known for his affectionate bond with his foster mom and is just as happy sleeping in a crate or snuggled up with her. Forest is active, highly intelligent, and athletic—he can master stairs, jump onto counters, and even work out how to move baby gates! He walks well on a leash when solo or with a familiar friend, and his food motivation makes him eager to learn new things, though he will need continued training as a young pup. While he loves dogs, Forest hasn’t met any cats yet, and he is recommended for homes with children aged 8 or older. He is vocal and energetic, so he’s best suited for a single-family home rather than an apartment or duplex. Forest is healthy, neutered, house trained, microchipped, and fully up to date on preventative care. He’s available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue (Watertown, WI) where all dogs are fostered in homes. Forest is waiting to find his perfect forever family—could that be you? Make their next chapter their best one yet.
