Dog's Name: Pup Mena (MEN0925ALAFD) Estimated Breed: Catahoula mix Approximate Age: 6 months Approximate Weight: 25.8 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Mena! Hello world, I'm Mena — a gorgeous Catahoula mix with striking markings and the most stunning eyes (yes, they're two different colors!). Wherever I go, I stand out in the crowd — and not just because of my looks, but because of my happy, friendly spirit. I was rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama along with my two siblings (Pup Thumper and Pup Gurri), and now I'm ready to find my forever family. At my prime age for training and socialization, I'm eager to learn, explore, and show off just how smart a girl I can be. I'm sweet, outgoing, and love making new friends. With other dogs, I can sometimes be a little possessive of my toys and food — but with guidance and consistency, that's something that can be easily managed. I might do best as an only dog or with slow introductions. All I'm missing is someone to call my own. Could that be you? Apply today — your best friend might just have four paws and a dazzling pair of eyes! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
