About Rascal
Rascal is a senior looking to spend his golden years with a family who appreciates a dog that's slowed down—but still keeps a little spark. At roughly 15 pounds and fully vetted, he's social with other dogs and brings a blend of mellow days mixed with the occasional spunky burst of energy. He doesn’t ask for long adventures, but does enjoy tagging along and sharing his opinions, often 'talking' to those around him. Rascal does best with someone who is home most of the time, as he’s used to that routine, and he’s working on easing his separation and crate anxieties. Apartment life won’t suit Rascal due to his propensity for vocalizing, and a fenced yard is a must given his flight-risk tendencies early on. He's grown comfortable around other dogs of all sizes, having lived in a large, busy household. Despite a rough patch a year ago involving an accident, his body healed in its own quirky way, leaving him with an endearing, unique gait—but no lack of enthusiasm. He takes an over-the-counter joint supplement and Gabapentin as needed. Available for adoption or foster-to-adopt. Rascal is currently in foster care in Jackson, GA.
