Loki is a 6-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a big personality and plenty of heart. Weighing around 70 lbs, Loki stands out for his playful energy and love of life, even as he recovers from an injury and waits on needed surgery. His time indoors has added a few extra pounds, but he’s still eager for every new adventure and full of enthusiasm. Loki does great with other dogs, especially his current canine roommate, though he carries a dominant streak at times. He’s crate-trained, settles once he trusts his surroundings, and leaves food and toys drama-free. Separation anxiety pops up when he’s left alone, but it eases after a bit. Loki’s both smart and a bit goofy; he knows sit and shake, has a reputation for counter surfing, and isn’t shy about vocalizing when he wants attention, food, or a bathroom break. He loves meeting people, squeaky toys, and has just enough shyness to make him endearing as he opens up. Continued socialization and a supportive home will help him rebuild confidence and become the loyal companion he’s meant to be.
