About Sid
Sid is a terrier and cattle dog mix, born in April 2022, and about the size of a beagle—so no surprises on future growth. He came to the shelter nervous, but now he’s the go-to dog for long walks with volunteers who love his quirky personality. Sid loves toys, a proper post-walk rubdown, and gravitates toward large female dogs, though he tends to do well with most dogs as long as personalities mesh. He’s still learning to take treats gently, and he has a stubborn streak when it’s time to come inside, so a securely fenced yard is a must for him. Sid doesn’t show much interest in cats but may do all right with a dog-savvy one—slow introductions are advised. He’s hoping for a home with kids 12 and up, since he can be a bit much for younger ones. Sid’s house training is a work in progress, but his energy and affectionate nature make him worth the effort. After being overlooked too long, Sid is ready for someone to give him a real shot at family life. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
