About Calamity Jane 'cj'
CJ—short for Calamity Jane—is a snuggle bug with a lot of heart and a love of play. Born in February 2021, she’s happiest at your side and never misses a chance to join family fun. CJ enjoys toys, the company of other dogs, and greets every morning with boundless enthusiasm. She can’t walk unaided due to an old spinal injury caused by a bullet, but her wheelchair lets her keep pace with everyone. CJ has worked through therapy and carts herself anywhere she wants to go. She stays in a foster home with other dogs, gets along well with cats and children, and is house trained—though she wears a diaper at night because excitement sometimes gets the best of her bladder when her favorite people wake up. CJ is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is sponsored at $75, including her wheelchair and harness, in memory of Chance. She’s available for adoption within 45 minutes of Toledo, OH and waits to meet a family who sees ability, not just her wheels. Click apply to start the adoption process.
