Richard
AvailableRichard is a 12-year-old neutered male Domestic Short Hair with a classic black and white tuxedo coat. He is house trained, has a short coat, and currently lives in Mansfield, OH. His vaccinations are up to date, and he eats a soft food diet due to prior dental surgery. As a senior, Richard appreciates some independence but still enjoys quality time on his terms. Born August 12, he's a Leo—never short on personality.
About Richard
Richard landed here after his owners were evicted and he was abandoned with two other cats. At 12 years old, he arrived in terrible shape—flea-infested and so matted that his first bath turned the water dark brown. He took the indignity of his spa day in stride, and he’s now cleaned up and recovering from major dental surgery. Richard eats only soft food, and he doesn’t just like it—he’s obsessed. Though he’s a senior, age hasn’t dulled his opinionated, sassy spirit. He craves affection on his schedule and makes it clear when he’s had enough. Richard tests FIV+, so he needs to be the only cat or live with other FIV+ cats. He’s best suited for a patient home without small children, as he can get a bit swipey, especially when he’s hungry. Richard is not for everyone, but for the right person, he’ll show there’s still a lot of love left in an old cat with a little attitude. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
