About Richard
Click apply to start the adoption process. Richard is a striking black and white tuxedo cat who has overcome so much in his senior years. Having been left behind in an apartment, Richard arrived at the shelter in need of serious care—covered in fleas and with a severely matted coat. Thanks to compassionate attention and a much-needed bath, he’s looking and feeling better every day, although he was certainly not thrilled about the bathing process! After undergoing dental surgery for advanced dental disease, Richard is now thriving on a soft food diet, which he absolutely adores. Richard’s personality is as bold as his history—he’s an older gentleman with a sassy streak and enjoys attention in short bursts. He prefers a quiet environment and values his independence, making it best for him to find a home without small children. He can be quite expressive, especially around feeding time, and rewards patience with his unique charm. Richard is also FIV+ and should be the only cat in the household, or share his space with other FIV+ cats. People with a special place in their heart for spirited seniors will appreciate Richard’s quirks and offer him the loving, patient home he deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
