About Mercedes
Meet Mercedes. Despite her fancy name, she's more tough tomboy than diva. When she first arrived, she had a nasty botfly larvae in her neck but still put up a fight and let everyone know she wasn’t to be messed with. Once she healed, Mercedes showed her playful side and learned the ropes with a few older kittens who liked to roughhouse. She handled the wrestling and wrestling back with confidence, never backing down, and quickly became an expert at cat manners. Mercedes is a bold, playful kitten who’s endlessly curious and has a habit of poking her nose into every corner of the house. She loves chasing anything that moves and has a soft spot for string toys—don’t be surprised to see her leap from the top of her condo to win her prize. While she isn’t big on cuddles, she’ll accept affection when she’s ready to wind down, especially if she’s tired from playtime. She gets along well with other cats and will keep any feline companions on their toes. Because she’s clear about her boundaries, she’d do best in a home with older children who understand when a cat wants space. She hasn’t been around dogs yet. Mercedes is about 5 months old as of October 2025, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Let her bring some gritty fun and mischief to your Richmond, KY home. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
