About Walnut
Walnut, or Wally for short, is a sharp and energetic border collie and Australian kelpie mix just around a year old. He's quick to learn and brings plenty of curiosity into everything, whether learning a new trick, poking his nose into a different corner, or figuring out the latest household goings-on. He enjoys playing with other dogs in foster care but also knows how to be content as the only dog in the home. Wallyâs independent nature sets him apartâheâll adapt to both solo living or playful company, as long as his mind is kept busy. A home familiar with the demandsâand joysâof an active, brainy dog will fit him best. Young children under eight might not be ideal, but he does fine with older, dog-savvy kids. Walnut gets along with other dogs and is also good with cats that are used to living with dogs. He is crate-trained, reliably housebroken, and knows how to use a doggy door. Heâs neutered and current on vaccinations. If youâre seeking a clever, confident companion whoâs always up for a little fun, Walnut might just be the right fit.
