About Maximus

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Maximus, the soulful and mushy potato who's truly a real-life companion dog. Maximus would make an outstanding emotional support animal—he's deeply attuned to his person's emotions, confidently accompanying you through crowds or offering gentle cuddles when you need comfort. This sweet boy loves car rides and finds joy in simply being near the people he adores, often nuzzling or resting his head on you when you're feeling down. When his foster welcomes clients, he checks on everyone, sensitive to discomfort and quick to offer his tender support. Maximus is an ideal companion for anyone seeking a mellow yet youthful pittie mix. He's an affectionate cuddler and couch potato at heart, while still enjoying leisurely walks and even gentle jogs by your side. His leash manners are impeccable—he strolls beside you without zigzagging, and can jog at your pace without missing a beat. Maximus is crate trained, highly affectionate, and remarkable in new situations, greeting people and children with a loving nature. He's happiest as the only dog or with a calm female canine companion, and does great walking by other dogs on leash, easily redirected with positive encouragement. However, off-leash face-to-face meetings with other dogs aren’t recommended due to his past experience of being attacked. Rescued from a difficult past where he was chained by squatters in the desert, Maximus now seeks affection and love over treats. On rescue day, he instantly showed his gratitude and loving spirit. Maximus enjoys accompanying his foster to work, content to relax on his dog bed with a bone. With a pittie-sized body, shorter legs, and a mastiff head, he's a unique blend of strength and sweetness. Ready to give and receive endless love, Maximus can't wait to make a lucky person or family complete. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
