About Peppero

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Get ready to fall for Peppero! This 4–5 year old neutered male Pit Bull Terrier was found living on the streets but has quickly embraced the comforts of indoor life. Peppero is house trained, motivated by food, and adores being close to his favorite people—whether he’s lounging nearby or enjoying a ride in the car with his head out the window. Though he can be a bit shy at first and may flinch at quick hand movements, likely hinting at tough experiences in his past, Peppero’s heart is full of affection once he feels secure. He’s expressive and will gently let you know when he’s ready for attention, revealing just how sweet and loving he is when relaxed. While not crate trained, Peppero handles small enclosed spaces well and has never shown destructive behavior. He may pull a bit on the leash, but his eagerness to please and love for treats make him a wonderful candidate for more training. He’s shown interest in other dogs, especially if matched thoughtfully and introduced slowly, and he’s even cohabitated well with a cat. If you have a playful large breed female pup, he just might find his perfect pal! Peppero needs a calm, caring home with someone ready to help him continue to blossom and trust.
