About Reid
Born on April 19, 2023, Reid lives up to his namesake, Andy Reid, with both his gentle spirit and ability to win hearts. As a young hound/Labrador Retriever mix, he’s settled into the life of a devoted teammate and world-class cuddler. His top skill is couch time — if you offer up a lap or a cozy shoulder, he’s quick to claim it. Reid thrives best with adults and isn’t comfortable with young children, preferring a calm, grown-up cheering squad. He’s kennel-trained, knows how to sit, and is working on other basics like "wait" and "lie down." With some slow introductions, Reid gets along well with certain dogs and has proved he can coexist with cats, treating the household feline as a quirky teammate despite the occasional sass. Reid requires a yard with a 6-foot fence so he can manage his frequent potty breaks, as he signals politely at the door when nature calls. His urinary issue has been fully vetted, with no medical cause found — he simply needs quick and regular access outdoors and a person who’ll learn his cues. Provided this, Reid can go several days without accidents. His favorite comfort is his emotional support toy, which comes part and parcel with him. Reid has started confidence-building classes and continues to make progress. All told, he’s a sweet, gentle, goofy dog who is happiest as close to his humans as possible. If you want a loyal, sensitive pal who prefers neck cuddles to roughhousing, Reid could be exactly the teammate you’ve been searching for. Start your journey together! Apply now.
