About Kamryn
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Kamryn, a spayed female Coonhound mix who is around 2 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. Surrendered after a traumatic experience with an electric fence, Kamryn has become reactive around men, children, and unfamiliar people. She thrives in a calm, understanding environment where her boundaries are respected. Kamryn is described as active, affectionate, quiet yet playful, and has plenty of high energy to spare. She has lived inside, is housebroken and crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She’s known for being a lap lover, gentle, and smart, already mastering commands like sit, lay down, wait, stay, go, and twirl. She loves chasing toys, playing fetch, gnawing on Kong toys, and especially enjoys cuddling after a fun day—pup cups are her favorite treat! She does well with women, children, and calmer dogs, but is not a good candidate for homes with cats or hyperactive dogs. Kamryn’s challenges include fearfulness, separation anxiety, chewing, digging, jumping, escaping, and some reactivity, especially with men and strangers. She may be an escape artist and is known to dig and break leashes if tied out, so a secure home and experienced handler are important. Despite her fears, she’s mellow, cuddly, and rides well in the car. Kamryn's adoption fee is just $20, generously sponsored for her next chapter. Her adoption includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, and microchipping. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
