About Kamryn

Kamryn is a two-year-old spayed female Coonhound mix in Maryville, MO, with a big personality shaped by her past. Once easygoing, Kamryn became reactive toward men, kids, and unfamiliar people after a traumatic encounter with an electric fence. She does best with women, children, and mellow male or female dogs, and should not be homed with cats. Her playful streak shows up with toys, fetch, and her favorite—Kong treats and pup cups. Inside, she loves cuddling, car rides, and sprawling out in a lap, but when anxious or left alone, she may dig, chew, or try to escape. Kamryn is smart, crate trained, fully housebroken, and knows plenty of commands like sit, lay down, wait, stay, go, and twirl. She’s mellow on a leash but should never be tied out, as she will find a way to break free. Kamryn is affectionate with those she trusts but comes with a few quirks—she digs, may jump, and still deals with some separation anxiety. She needs a patient adopter who can accept her quirks and slowly build her confidence. Click apply to start the adoption process.
