About Shadow

Shadow was rescued after being found wandering without her owners, and quickly made herself at home with her finder by trailing after him everywhere—hence her name. She is a sweet-natured, extremely affectionate young Pit Bull Terrier, happiest when cuddling up with people or hanging out with her canine and feline companions. Shadow genuinely enjoys walks, has excellent leash manners, and is fully potty trained. At the shelter, she’s formed a deep bond with her kennel buddy Blue and has shown that she does best around other dogs, especially those who are a bit more confident. Shadow is shy at first, especially around new people and loud noises, but she warms up quickly and is starting to trust staff members, rewarding patience with her devoted attention and belly rub requests. Despite a recent heartworm diagnosis, Shadow’s spirit has remained high and she’s doing well with treatment. Her ideal home would include another friendly dog to help her feel secure. Shadow gets along well with both dogs and cats, and just needs a little time to settle in—a bond with her person means everything to her. She will thrive with someone looking for a loyal best friend who craves affection and companionship. Click apply to start the adoption process.
