About Ms. Doris
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Ms. Doris is a beautiful torbie cat who arrived at the rescue after being found on the roadside in New Richmond. When she first came in, she showed signs of recently nursing, prompting a heartfelt rescue search for her kittens—sadly, they could not be found. Ms. Doris, affectionately nicknamed Doris, is mostly independent, seeking attention on her own terms. She may become over-stimulated and will gently let you know when she needs space, so a home with cat-savvy older children (13+) is recommended, and homes with toddlers are not ideal. Doris is not aggressive and can be quite sweet when she’s ready, enjoying being handled and picked up. Treats and food are certainly the way to her heart! Doris gets along well with other cats and kittens but prefers her own space and enjoys quiet playtime with toys. While she hasn’t been tested with dogs, it’s best that she joins a home with older, calm dogs, if any, as she isn’t likely to appreciate energetic canine companions. She would thrive in a household willing to let her be her independent self, giving her the room and freedom she deserves. If you feel your home and lifestyle would suit Doris, come meet her and see if she’s your perfect match. Fun fact: With her approximate birthdate of May 1st, Doris is a Taurus—making her a loyal and steady companion at heart. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
