About Ava
Ava is a 1-year-old, roughly 58-pound Anatolian/Maremma/Shepherd mix patiently waiting for her new family. She gets along well with other dogs and has discovered a true passion for toys and chasing leaves. Playful by nature, Ava prefers short, energetic bursts before settling in for a nap just about anywhere. She adores people, loves cuddles, and craves attention from her humans. Given her breed mix, Ava will mature into a very large dog. Her breeds are all known for intelligence and loyalty, and she looks for a home with a fenced yard and plenty of opportunities to stay active and engaged. She tends to take stock of new situations before jumping in, preferring a calm introduction to other dogs. She’s a little more dominant than her sister, but quickly defers to resident dogs—especially if they are smaller than she is. Exploring and patrolling the outdoors is one of her favorite pastimes, and she’ll let you know if something’s out of the ordinary. Her treat preferences are clear: cheese, peanut butter, and ice cubes top the list. Ava is currently being fostered in Wausau, WI, alongside her sisters, Marley and Moxie. Her adoption fee is $375, which includes up-to-date puppy vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping. Bring proof of her spay, and you’ll receive a $150 refund. Fun fact: With an April 6th birthday, Ava is an Aries—naturally curious and adventurous. Start your journey together! Apply now.
