About Wally

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Wally, a striking Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix with a fluffy, soft white and cream coat and soulful eyes. This handsome fellow is looking for a special home where he can truly flourish. Wally hasn’t spent much time in a traditional home environment, so new experiences like loud noises or TVs can feel overwhelming at first. As a member of FOHA's Diamond Dog program, his adopter will receive extra support to help him settle in and succeed. Wally’s dream home is an adult-only setting with an experienced owner who understands both the independent and protective instincts of his breed. He does best as the only dog in a quiet, single-dog home and will need a fenced yard where he can safely explore—apartments and condos aren’t a good fit. Wally isn’t comfortable around cats or livestock and requires a calm, predictable environment without children or high activity levels. While still learning formal commands, Wally is eager to bond and responds well to positive reinforcement training. He does well with housebreaking and is learning to be comfortable in a crate, thriving with gentle structure and routine. Wally loves butt scratches, outdoor adventures, and spending quality time with his favorite people. With patience and dedication, he’ll become a loyal and loving companion. Ready to fall in love?
