Valentino has weathered hard times and now he’s looking for someone willing to show him what a safe, loving home really is. He came from a tough spot—tied to a tree for days with no food or water—and that history leaves him cautious with new people and places. But if you’re patient and let him get comfortable, he reveals affectionate, goofy energy. Once you’re in his circle, he’ll want walks in quiet neighborhoods, one-on-one playtime, and plenty of belly rubs. He’s playful with fetch and roughhousing but doesn’t like to be crowded or overwhelmed. Valentino will do best as the only dog, or maybe with one calm, easygoing canine companion after careful introductions. He isn’t a fit for cats or children, and a calm, adults-only home is where he’ll shine. He’s still working on his commands and needs an experienced adopter who can help him build confidence.
