All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Bubba Charlie, whose head is as big as his heart. To know anything about Bubba you just have to know how he was found. The kind soul that saved him from homelessness shared this: “This gentle creature arrived on my porch in a rainstorm and never wanted to leave. He was wonderful and easy-going and friendly to neighbors and dogs, I could not say no. I wanted to keep him because he is so special but, unfortunately, my landlord will not allow me to. I didn't want to bring him to the animal shelter where he might be destroyed, so I am personally paying to board him. He truly needs a home and he is SUCH a good boy. He will be someone’s absolute BEST friend and will adore whoever chooses him. Bubba is a bulldog/bully mix with the heart of a lamb. He is quite young (about 2 years old) and is good with dogs, kids, cats, and just ADORES every human he meets. He is a big galoot — weighing in at 74 lbs. Bubba is housebroken and crate-trained, but will need a little help with manners on the leash. Although he occasionally tries to chase a squirrel or two, overall he is unreactive on lead. Bubba is WONDERFUL with little dogs - they can jump all over him and give him lots of attention and grief and he is non-reactive. The only time we have seen Bubba take issue with other dogs is large dogs behind fences that are barking at him or if an another large dog shows HIM aggression first. Otherwise, Bubba is a complete sweetheart. Bubba will love his human the way they write about in movies… perhaps you can be the hero he is waiting for? Interested in becoming Bubba’s forever home? Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
