About Stella
Meet Stella! She might not have the best glamour shots yetâher profile photos are just from intakeâbut that wonât hold her back. Stella is a Husky mix, estimated between 2 and 4 years old, and she comes from a unique background: she was part of a group of thirty dogs from a single home, whose owner struggled with his own health. Despite her start, Stella is surprisingly well adjusted for a hoarding case. Sheâs crate trained (plastic crates work best for her), knows several basic commands, and understands the basics of house training, though you should expect some transition accidents in a new place. A secure, fenced yard is a strong requirement for Stella, or at least a home where sheâll never be off leashâshe needs predictable boundaries. She is fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on preventatives. Stella is on the thin side but regaining weight and looking stronger every week. She gets along well with other dogsâpreferably calm malesâbut shouldnât live with cats, as she tends to chase them. Because sheâs one of the more skittish in her group, a quiet, low-commotion home without children is ideal. New people make her nervous for a few minutes, but once she knows you, sheâs affectionate, loving to sprawl in your lap and hand out kisses. Her adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Sheâs ready for a stable, gentle household with maybe a mellow canine buddy or two. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Stella
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Husky mixes like Stella do best in homes with space to roam and active families. They need structure and a calm environment, especially for a dog as sensitive as Stella.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Stella, being a Husky mix, benefits from a securely fenced yard where she can move freely. Small apartments without access to outdoor space aren't ideal for her activity level.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Many Husky mixes are family-friendly, but Stella in particular needs a child-free, quiet household because she can be nervous and skittish around kids.
