About Maverick
Maverick is a medium-sized, black and cream Husky mix with a story as unique as his name. He’s between two and four years old and one of roughly thirty dogs rescued from a single home in Holland, Michigan, after the passing of their devoted owner. Maverick’s past isn’t what you might expect from a large rescue-in-place: these dogs were loved, and it shows in his temperament. Maverick is gentle, social, knows basic commands, and is crate trained—though he does best with a plastic kennel. While he’s adapted well and understands house training, any move into a new space may bring some accidents. He’s already neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and on preventatives. Maverick gets along well with other dogs, though the best fit is likely with female dogs. He also enjoys the company of children. He is not a match for homes with cats, as he’s prone to chase them. What makes Maverick even more adoptable? His adoption fee has been fully sponsored, so there’s no cost to bring him home. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
