About Carl
Carl is a distinguished older gentleman looking for a place to finally call home. He’s an 8-year-old male Boxer mix, about 65 lbs, recently rescued from abandonment in Oklahoma City. Understandably, at first, Carl was baffled by his new life in boarding, but he's adjusted, warming up to staff and happily tearing around the clinic yard during playtime. He thrives when included and made part of family activities, craving that sense of belonging he’s missed. Carl can be a rough player, so he’s best suited as a solo dog or possibly with a very submissive canine friend—he'll need to meet any dogs in your home before adoption. He’s loyal and protective, an ideal companion for the right adult. Carl is not a match for homes with children under 12 or cats. He tolerates crating, though it's not his preference, and he keeps his kennel clean even if full house training hasn’t yet been confirmed. He walks well on leash and will enjoy joining you for strolls. Carl is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. Since he's in boarding, you can foster-to-adopt or just foster him if you want to give him a try. Ready to give a loyal senior the comfort he deserves? Give them the home they have been waiting for.
