About Phoebe
Phoebe is a large domestic short-haired torbie with an eye-catching mix of orange and light brown tabby on her short coat. She spent years living rough—making do outside, hunting for scraps, and raising kittens—until she landed a proper indoor life. She has some history: a tumble from a tall cat tree led to a femoral head ostectomy, but she recovered well. Phoebe moves with the confidence of any healthy adult cat, though slimming down a bit would help her agility even more. Her indoor days now are filled with high perches, comfortable napping spots, and plenty of toys for her spurts of playful energy. You’ll see her chasing toys or imaginary prey with enthusiasm—a reminder she never quite got to enjoy kittenhood. Phoebe loves to hang out in the same room as people and claims her spot on the couch, but she doesn’t go in for lap time. Outgoing and social with humans, she truly shines as the only pet in a household. She is not a fan of other cats, particularly adult males, and would thrive as the solo queen of the home. Phoebe is spayed, vaccinated, litter box trained, microchipped, and negative for both feline leukemia and FIV. Her experience with dogs or children hasn’t been tested. How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic short hair cats like Phoebe are content staying indoors and do not require outdoor space, especially after a rough life outside. Indoor-only homes are ideal for her safety and well-being.
