About Ryder
Ryder is a striking 2-year-old German Shepherd Malamute mix who recently lost his home after his previous guardians found his behavior too challenging to manage. He comes off as aggressive at first, but much of that seems tied to fear and confusion from upheaval and uncertainty. He’s adjusting to new routines at the center and trying to figure out what comes next. Ryder needs a patient adopter willing to put in steady work to help him decompress and build confidence. He doesn't get along with other dogs, cats, or children, so he'd be best as the only animal in an experienced adult household. With time, Ryder has the potential to reveal a softer side and just needs someone willing to stick it out with him. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
