About Lavender
Lavender is a sensitive, high-energy three-year-old searching for a special person willing to show real patience and understanding. She’s not a puppy anymore, but her spirit is young—quick on her feet, playful, and always up for a zoom around the yard. Lavender is shy and freezes up around strangers; her fear-based behaviors require someone with experience managing extremely timid dogs. She’s never aggressive, just guarded until she’s sure she’s safe. Once she trusts you, Lavender’s playful, goofy side comes out, and she’s happiest running full speed and chasing toys with her dog friends. After a good play session, she’ll curl up in a lap, all softness and warmth. Lavender is house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She gets along well with other dogs, but her new home must be ready to help her keep building confidence every day. Lavender isn’t suited for first-time owners, but if you have the experience and patience to work through her anxiety, you’ll find she’s worth the extra effort. They are waiting with paws crossed! Questions about Lavender
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Lavender, with her Labrador Retriever and Chihuahua mix, will likely do best in a quiet home where routines are consistent, and she can have patient support as she grows more comfortable. She doesn’t need a busy or chaotic environment.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Lavender enjoys stretching her legs and having space to run, but a modest fenced yard is usually enough for a Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua mix. Regular walks and playtime will keep her happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Generally, Labrador mixes are family dogs, but because Lavender is so shy and easily frightened, homes without young children are best to minimize her stress.
