About Lavender

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Lavender, a sensitive and lively 3-year-old girl seeking a compassionate, experienced adopter. Though she’s outgrown her puppy years, Lavender radiates a youthful spirit with her energetic zoomies and playful antics! Beneath her shyness, she’s a sweet soul who finds new people and situations overwhelming. Lavender needs someone familiar with helping dogs overcome intense fear and extreme shyness—she’s not aggressive, but often freezes when confronted by unfamiliar people. Once you win her trust, Lavender’s silly and affectionate side comes alive. She delights in running and chasing her canine siblings, and her love of toys is unmatched! After a fun play session, she becomes the ultimate lap dog, ready to snuggle up for a cozy nap. Lavender is looking for a special adopter who offers patience, skill, and plenty of encouragement for her journey to confidence. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please note that Lavender’s needs are best met by someone with previous experience working with shy or fearful dogs. She promises to reward your dedication with endless love and loyalty. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.

Questions about Lavender

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

A Labrador Retriever/Chihuahua mix can adapt to various environments but often does best in a stable, calm household with secure spaces. They benefit from having a consistent routine and a safe place to retreat when feeling overwhelmed.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

This mix enjoys regular outdoor activity, so access to a fenced yard or daily walks is important. While not as demanding as some larger breeds, they appreciate time to run and explore safely.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

With good socialization, this breed mix can do well with respectful, older children, but due to their possible skittishness from the Chihuahua side, supervision and careful introductions are key.
