About Yuki

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Yuki is a happy, affectionate American Bulldog who absolutely loves people, greeting strangers eagerly for pets or treats. Because she is deaf, Yuki can get startled if approached from behind without warning, so she requires a home with older, respectful children (12+) who can learn to be mindful about approaching her and allow her to come to them. This sweet girl thrives in homes where boundaries are respected and her unique needs are understood. Yuki needs a house (not an apartment) with a yard, as she enjoys running and expressing herself—her vocal nature means she might not be the best fit for close-quarter living or shared walls with neighbors. When tested in various environments and with other dogs, Yuki was friendly and excited, showing playful interest, though she is ideally an only pet or could potentially live with another calm, gentle dog if introduced gradually and kept in a structured environment. She should be given time to decompress and adjust to any new companions. Yuki is very smart and highly trainable, understanding several hand signals such as “come,” “sit,” and “thumbs up” for praise. She’s house trained, crate trained, and eager to learn. Give this loving girl the supportive environment she needs, and she will reward you with boundless affection and loyalty.
