About Clementine
Clementine is as sweet as her name suggests. When she first arrived after running as a stray, she was closed off and unsure of everyone around her, but it didn’t take long for her goofy, spirited personality to shine through with some trust and encouragement. Clementine is a large American Staffordshire Terrier with a faint Scooby Doo look—her floppy ears add to her charm. She walks nicely on leash (occasionally pulling, but usually not), and she pays close attention to her handler for reassurance. Clementine is particularly smart and knows multiple basic commands, excelling at training when there are treats or praise involved. She gets along well with other large dogs, both male and female, and enjoys playgroups at the shelter. Clementine seems happiest with a confident, patient person who can guide her through any initial nerves. Her sweet temperament, eagerness for car rides, and willingness to try new things make her a genuinely enjoyable dog. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will work hard for your affection (and snacks), Clementine is ready to meet you. She’s estimated to be about two years old, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. She just needs someone to give her a chance. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
