About Gracie
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Gracie is a lovely Chihuahua/Poodle mix who is bonded to her brother, George, a striking red long-haired purebred Dachshund. At about 10 years old, Gracie is a sweet and affectionate girl who still enjoys playful moments but is happiest lounging and soaking up pets and snuggles from her favorite humans. She can be vocal, especially when she feels the need to protect her family. Gracie is initially timid and defensive with new people, particularly men, but with patience and gentle attention, she warms up quickly. While she may growl when nervous, she has never bitten or shown aggression. Gracie is best suited for a home with a yard, no other pets, and no children. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Gracie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahua/Poodle mixes thrive best in homes where they can be close to their humans, whether that's an apartment or a house with a secure yard. They enjoy relaxing indoors but also appreciate having space to explore safely.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
While they don't require large amounts of outdoor space, these dogs benefit from a small yard or regular walks. As long as they get daily opportunities for exercise and play, they can adapt well to different living conditions.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua/Poodle mixes can do well with older, gentle children who understand dog boundaries, but may be less suited for homes with young or rowdy children due to their small size and sometimes timid nature.
