Orion is part Labrador Retriever and Black Mouth Cur, about 13 months old, and currently weighs around 40 pounds. He'll likely fill out to a sturdy 50 pounds once full grown. This friendly youngster came in as a stray and has settled comfortably into his foster home in Texas. Orion's medium-length brown coat sports a white blaze on his chest and, while he does shed moderately, it’s manageable. His warm brown eyes are hard to miss. He’s especially sociable—gets along well with other dogs off-leash and enjoys meeting new people. Orion loves to play outside, splash in water, and carry sticks, embracing all the joys of puppyhood. He doesn't guard his food and isn’t overly excitable; his manners are generally steady for his age. Orion is good with children, particularly those eight or older. He’s outgoing but not unruly, and shows a sweet streak when given affection. Currently neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, Orion is ready for his new home.
