This energetic dog does not get along with cats and will need an adopter who’s ready to provide plenty of physical activity and dedicated training.

Watch out—Clyde is on the scene and ready to win over his next adventure buddy. He’s a striking, energetic guy who thrives on action and needs a partner who can keep up. Clyde’s a true athlete, happiest after a long walk or good run in a fenced yard. When his energy is spent, he melts into a loving, cuddly companion. The trick is making sure he’s had enough exercise first. Clyde was abandoned at the shelter, and it left a mark—he struggles with being on his own. He needs someone committed to helping him handle separation anxiety or, even better, someone who’s up for bringing him along everywhere. Since arriving, the chaos of the shelter has thrown him off, so he hasn’t joined playgroups yet, but he’d probably do best with playful, calm female dogs. He’s fine flying solo, too. With his strength, he’ll need a handler able to teach solid leash manners and clear boundaries.
