Nala is a 7-year-young senior special who is dog friendly and enjoys the companionship of other dogs. She came in with Dante (now adopted), and her current buddies are Ducky and Mia. Nala is easy to walk and moves with purpose—there’s no lollygagging for this girl! She keeps strong tension on the leash and loves to see all the sights during her walks. She is one of her tech’s favorites for her sweet and engaging personality. Nala is heartworm positive, but the shelter will provide treatment free of charge. While in her kennel, she may relax quietly, but she gets excited for walks and enjoys exploring. She can be distracted outdoors, showing little interest in treats while focused on her surroundings. Nala has no formal "sit" at the moment, but she has impeccable manners otherwise and simply enjoys observing the world around her. She may be camera-shy, but she is absolutely gorgeous and would thrive in a retirement home where she can relax on a couch or dog bed and enjoy a calm, loving environment. We suggest when placed that the 3-3-3 Rule be followed — allowing 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to feel fully settled.
