AvailableThis lovely female Shepherd/mixed breed is a medium-sized senior currently at the City of Fort Worth Animal Shelter. She is already spayed, making her ready for a forever home. About Nala
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Nala is a 7-year-young senior who stands out for her affectionate and engaging personality, always ready to enjoy the company of other dogs. She arrived at the shelter with her friend Dante (now happily adopted), and her favorite companions now are Ducky and Mia. Nala enjoys her walks—she moves briskly with purpose and keeps a steady tension on the leash, intent on exploring every sight along her route. Though she may not be motivated by treats while out and about, her manners are exceptional, and she endears herself to everyone she meets. A heartworm positive diagnosis hasn't slowed Nala down; her treatment will be provided at no cost by the shelter to ensure her good health. While she can be a relaxed presence in her kennel, she lights up with excitement when it’s time to head outside. Nala doesn’t currently know how to "sit" on command, but she makes up for it with her calm, observant nature and camera-shy charm. Nala is looking for a calm home where she can enjoy her golden years from a cozy couch or dog bed, basking in love and comfort. The shelter encourages following the 3-3-3 Rule to help her transition smoothly: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle into the routine, and 3 months to fully feel at home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
