About Alice Rose
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Alice Rose is a sweet, small dog who arrived at the shelter alongside her brother, Scooby. They both could use a little help getting to a healthier weight, so a regular diet and exercise routine is a must. At just over 20 pounds and under two years old, Alice Rose brings the youthful energy you'd expect! Previously, Alice Rose lived in a home and was surrendered before making her way north. While she'd ideally be adopted with her brother, the rescue is open to them finding separate loving homes. Alice Rose has successfully coexisted with other dogs and cats during her time on a recent "sleepover," so she's open to new companions. This gentle girl adores leash walks and car rides—secured safely, of course—and walks nicely when wearing a harness. She can be shy at first, needing a little while to get comfortable with new people and unfamiliar sounds, but once she feels at home, she's persistent and affectionate in seeking out attention. A fenced yard is recommended, as Alice Rose loves to run and play safely off-leash. She also appreciates a cozy open crate where she can retreat or relax while keeping an eye on the household.
