About Dixie Chick
Dixie Chick is a 6-8-year-old coonhound with a laid-back spirit and a gentle nature. Rescued from a tough situation, she's someone who truly appreciates the quiet comforts of a home. Dixie is crazy about her stuffed animals and tends to keep them nearby, almost like family. While she's mostly content lounging on the couch, her hound instincts show up whenever a new scent crosses her path. She is crate trained and usually settles after a few minutes, typical for a hound, and sleeps peacefully overnight in her crate. Crating is recommended when you’re out, especially since her nose often leads her to “hunt for treasure” around the house if something smells good. Like most seniors, a midday potty break helps her stay comfortable if you work long hours. Dixie gets along with dogs, cats, and kids, and would best fit in with someone who values a calm, loving dog ready to enjoy her golden years. She deserves a home where she can relax, play gently with her toys, and feel secure. Your new best friend is just one click away.
