About Nikko Courtesy Listing
Click apply to start the adoption process. Nikko is a sweet and loving Treeing Walker Coonhound rescued five years ago after spending his earliest days abandoned and on his own. He is crate trained—he even tucks himself in at bedtime—and fully house-trained. Nikko communicates when he needs to go outside by gently placing his head in your lap, melting your heart with true puppy eyes. Nikko has brought joy and laughter to his family, especially as a playful companion to a 10-year-old. He loves a good game of chase, is clever at hiding behind trees, and shows off his intelligence when learning new tricks in exchange for treats. At 45 pounds, he adores snuggling and has a unique habit of curling up with his nose in a hoodie pocket, instantly dozing off. Although Nikko is a wonderful companion, his family believes he would flourish more in a rural home. Crowded neighborhoods can sometimes trigger anxiety and overstimulation in Nikko, so a home with plenty of space to run and play would be ideal. He is looking for a loving forever family who can offer him the calm, active lifestyle he thrives in. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
