AvailableGenny is a female, spayed doberman/husky mix with a short bicolor coat, currently in Olympia, WA. She is about 3 years old and medium sized. Genny is house trained and her vaccinations are up to date. Friendly with other dogs and children, she’s gentle and affectionate in nature.
About Genny
Genny’s story is a rough one: she was found severely underweight and battling salmon poisoning, all while trying to care for 11 puppies out on the Yakama Reservation. She pulled through with remarkable resilience and has bounced back, now looking healthy at 45 pounds. All but one of her puppies have found homes, and it’s Genny’s turn to finally settle into a family that will cherish her. Three years old and a doberman/husky mix, Genny stands out for her sweetness, gentle manners, and a silly streak that shows once she feels safe. She’s a laid-back housemate—house trained, crate trained, and respectful indoors. Genny gets along well with other dogs, is at ease around cats, and is comfortable with kids. While she’s reserved with new people at first, give her a little time and she’ll be snuggling on your lap. She’s still dialing in her leash skills but is always eager to go hiking through the woods. Spayed and up to date on all vaccinations, she’s ready for an active yet calm home with a fenced yard and people around more often than not. She’d do best with another easygoing dog for company. Ready for Genny to find her peace and joy after all she’s survived. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
