About Otis

Otis is a large Shepherd mix with a medium-length tan, black, and white coat, looking for both a foster and a permanent home. He landed at the rescue after being found as a stray and has shown himself to be exceptionally sweet and loving. Otis bonds easily with people and older children, enjoys playgroups with other dogs of similar energy, and is happiest when he gets time out of the kennel. He walks well on leash and enjoys going on hikes, to the park, or the beach. Though he shows some reactivity to other dogs when first leaving his kennel, he settles quickly and might do well with another dog at home after a proper introduction—bring your current dog for a meet and greet. Otis lives for games of fetch and cuddles, and thrives when given attention and structure. He is not yet house trained, so patience and consistency will be important. He’s currently in Santa Paula, CA, and is ready for a family ready to match his love for adventure and relaxation. Click apply to start the adoption process.
