About Ruger

Ruger is a striking, large mixed-breed Husky/Shepherd with a soft, medium coat in white and charcoal. He lost his home due to his prior owner’s health challenges, so he’s looking for both a foster and a permanent family now. Ruger bonds deeply with people and loves walks or visits to the dog park. He’s a spirited, affectionate dog—expect lots of cuddles and requests for belly rubs. No cats can be present, and his sturdy build and energy mean a yard with at least a 6-foot fence is non-negotiable. Ruger is selective with other dogs and especially food protective, so he’ll require separate feeding and careful introductions. He’s lived with a retired adult but is also great with children and enjoys lounging or sleeping near his people—including beds and couches. Ruger is hoping for a home ready to welcome a loyal companion who’ll stick close by. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
