About Missy
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Missy, a joyful 4-month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix who currently weighs around 15 pounds. Missy, together with her mom Daisy, forms a sweet bonded pair and they must be adopted together. This clever, lively puppy brings endless smiles and playful energy to every day, and she’s well on her way with her house training. As a young dog, Missy will do best with an adopter who is home much of the day to devote to her ongoing training and care—this is a non-negotiable requirement. Because her immune system is still developing, Missy is not suited to apartment, condo, or town home living unless there is a private fenced yard. She cannot go to public dog places until she reaches 16 weeks of age. Missy is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, has been microchipped, and will need to be spayed at the appropriate age. Only applicants 25 years or older will be considered for adoption. Adopting a young pup like Missy doesn’t just save one life, but helps the rescue support additional special-needs animals. Missy is a Cancer—true to her sign, she’s sure to bring lots of nurturing, comfort, and affection into her new family’s life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Missy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
The Chihuahua/Terrier mix often does well in homes with access to outdoor space, such as a house with a fenced yard. They thrive in environments where they can interact with their family and have space to play and explore.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahua/Terrier mixes appreciate a safe, enclosed area to play and exercise, but their small size means they don’t require a large yard. Regular walks and playtime are sufficient for meeting their exercise needs.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua/Terrier mixes can do well with children, especially when properly socialized. Supervision with younger children is recommended to ensure gentle interactions due to their small size.
