He's blind and mostly deaf so the yard is a wonderful place for him to feel the textures under his feet and take in all the smells. So far he hasn't minded any type of weather-not cold, not rain. He loved the snow today using his nose to throw it up in the air. He is also content to curl up beside you if you are working on the computer or on the couch while you watch TV.
