About Spot
Spot is a goofy, bright, and affectionate one-year-old pit bull terrier mix with a short coat. He’s a true character: always eager to play, quick to learn, and ready to burn off energy. Spot thrives in the company of energetic dogs, especially in off-leash playgroups, and welcomes older, dog-savvy children who respect his lively nature. He’s house trained, good on leash, and already knows how to "sit," "down," "shake," plus he’s working on "stay" and "drop it." Spot is working on mouthiness and excitement nipping; because of this, he isn’t a match for homes with small kids or anyone new to dog training. He does best with structure, patience, and an experienced handler who uses positive reinforcement. Spot is doing well with crate training overnight—daytime crating is a work in progress. He’s respected office cats but may give chase to those not used to dogs, so careful introductions are a must. He’s adjusting from a rural, mostly outdoor life and will excel in a patient, structured, and active home, ideally with a yard or energetic dog buddy. Spot is on daily anti-anxiety meds to support his transition and training. This is a dog with plenty of potential in the right hands and lots of love to give. Spot is currently in Eagle, ID.
