Lobo is available for adoption! Volunteer Jada writes- Meet Lobo! At first glance, Lobo might seem a little reserved, but give him a moment and you’ll see what a lovebug he truly is. Once he opens up, his personality shines, he’s full of affection and loves to stay close for pets and cuddles. Lobo is a smart cookie, he’s very food motivated and already knows how to sit and quickly learned to stay while I stepped back for some photos! He may not have had much formal training yet, but he’s clearly eager to learn and catches on fast. Right now Lobo has a bit of a sore leg and is on medical rest so we couldn’t play too much, but don’t worry, his playful spirit still shines through! He’s interested in toys and can’t wait to get back to playing once he’s feeling 100%. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll blossom into your best friend with a little patience and structure, Lobo is your guy! The shelter reported PERSONALITY TRAITS: Lobo is an affectionate, playful boy that is dog friendly and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He is leash trained but a round of positive reinforcement training classes would be most beneficial for Lobo to brush up on his basic commands. He's good with respectful kids – he was very gentle and sweet with the shelter's 9 year old volunteer. He has lived with other dogs prior to coming to the shelter. Shelter staff believe Lobo would make a great family dog! Lobo arrived to the shelter almost a year ago. He had an owner who never came for him. He has sat waiting for a new home all this time. He is a gentle and sweet boy that has been overlooked far too long. He is affectionate and wants to be by your side. We think he'd make a great family dog.
