About Liberty

Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Liberty, affectionately called Libby, is a 6-year-old spayed Catahoula Cur mix with a charming brindle coat and a cute little bobbed tail. Weighing about 40 pounds, she is just the right size for many households. Libby was found extremely skinny, likely abandoned, but she has truly blossomed in rescue care. She thrives in a quiet home environment surrounded by her people, and her calm presence is sure to become a beloved part of any family. Libby has shown she is great on a leash and seems to be completely housebroken, never having accidents in her kennel. She gets along well with other dogs, kids over the age of 10, and strangers, and has been on her best behavior since returning to the rescue. While her compatibility with cats is still a mystery, it’s clear she is eager to please and eager to be in the right home. Libby is considered special needs due to food allergies—she cannot have eggs or chicken, so she does best on salmon-based foods like Purina Proplan Sensitive Stomach and loves salmon treats and cheerios. With some proper training and understanding, Libby will make a devoted companion and a wonderful addition to a loving family seeking a relaxed but attentive pet. Fun fact: With a November 8th birthday, Libby is a Scorpio, bringing loyalty and depth to her relationships! This could be the start of something paw-some.
