About Liberty
Liberty, also known as Libby, is a 6-year-old spayed Catahoula Cur mix looking for a calm, stable home. She’s a medium-sized brindle beauty, only about 40 lbs, and sports a sweet little bobbed tail. Libby started out abandoned and very underweight, but after some ups and downs, she’s landed at Boudreaux's Animal Rescue Krewe (BARK) and has been on her best behavior since. She walks well on a leash and is reliably house trained—she doesn’t have accidents in her kennel. Libby gets along with other dogs and does fine around kids over 10, as well as with strangers. Her compatibility with cats isn’t known. Libby needs a quiet home with people who can provide structure—not just affection, but solid, consistent training. She’s loyal and loves her people, and she may need guidance to learn that she doesn’t have to be in protective mode all the time. She’s considered special needs due to food allergies (no eggs or chicken for her), but she does well on Purina Proplan Sensitive Stomach – salmon, along with salmon treats and her favorite—Cheerios. Give her some time and the right environment, and she’ll turn into a truly excellent companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
