Millee is a young, spayed female lab/cur mix with a short coat who is currently in Alexandria, LA. She’s medium-sized and sports a playful, spirited personality. Millee is not yet house trained but is fully vaccinated and up-to-date on prevention. She’s known to get along with children and is looking for a loving home where her resilience and sass will be appreciated.

About Millee

Millee’s story starts rough: she and her siblings were abandoned on a backroad after their mom was tragically killed. It’s a sad piece of her past, but Millee’s not one to let it define her. She’s settling into foster care, safe, and ready for better things—especially up north. Millee is a young, spirited lab/cur mix with plenty of sass and a real gift for winning hearts and snacks. Treats are her absolute favorite, and training with her is all about reward (she’s earned the nickname ‘treat hooker’ from her foster mom). Millee is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm prevention. She’s still working on her house training, but her intelligence and food motivation make progress likely. She’s known to be gently playful, big-hearted, and the kind of dog kids usually love—her foster reports she gets along with children. Millee has endured a lot, but she bounces back, stays social, and doesn’t lose her affectionate side. She’s looking for a New England home where someone will give her the love she’s missed—and maybe have a treat pouch handy. Millee isn’t currently in New England, so a meet-and-greet isn’t always possible before adoption unless she's in a foster home up north. There’s a solid support system in place through the rescue, so adopters aren’t left without help if things need adjusting. Millee’s ready for a fresh start.
