Now, James is a small, short-haired shepherd-terrier mix known for his calm, gentle spirit. He's found comfort and trust in people and adapts easily to home routines, handling his business outside and enjoying polite leash walks. Quiet and well-mannered, James rarely barks, gets along effortlessly with other dogs and cats, and his foster believes he'd do well with respectful children. He embraces simple pleasures—park visits, a cozy bed, a spot on the couch, and the company of humans who value his steady companionship. James’s past no longer defines him. His physical scars have faded, and his confidence shines through. Despite an old hip injury, he runs and plays without hesitation as long as he maintains a healthy weight. He responds reliably to commands and brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes.
