About Cindy

Cindy was picked up from the streets of Mexico after a tough start, having been scared and recently attacked by other dogs. Under foster care in Guadalajara, she’s found her confidence again—she’s sociable, enjoys being around people, and seeks out attention. Cindy meshes well with other dogs and is comfortable in their company, showing no food guarding. She’s not housebroken yet but is learning quickly and typically adjusts to a potty schedule once in a home. Leash walking is also new to her, but progress is ongoing. Cindy does best in a home where she’s not left alone for long stretches and where her people will be active with her—she lights up for walks, playtime, and opportunities to explore. She gets along well with both dogs and children who respect her space, but she will not do well with cats. As an Akita/Cattle Dog mix, she’s a nice medium size and is fully spayed and vaccinated. Expect the adjustment period typical of street dogs, but with patience and structure, Cindy tends to thrive. Cindy is currently in Guadalajara and will be flown to Oregon once her adopter is lined up. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
